Carlos was born in Mexico City and now lives in Playa del Carmen with his wife Laura, working as a personal athletic trainer.

Soon after meeting Laura, Carlos was introduced to her feline family and became a cat lover. Soon they rescued a kitten of their own. After the tragic loss of this beloved kitten, Coco, Carlos had no hesitation in supporting Laura and her dream of creating Coco´s Cat Rescue.

Carlos also rescued a puppy, Cachito, whose story inspired a donor to create the Cachito Fund for dogs rescued by Coco’s members. With Carlos being Mexican and Spanish being his first language, he has worked diligently to reach out to locals with promotional material, education, and translation of any materials Coco’s needs.
